Nursery PractitionerClosing date: 04/06/2017 Salary: Actual Salary £13,219 per annum (FTE = £15,594) Contract type: Part time
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Nursery practitioner to join our team at our outstanding nursery, Little Faces Nursery, situated in the grounds of South Downs College. This role is 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (Term Time Only).
The ideal candidate must demonstrate that they have a good knowledge of the EYFS and a passion for childcare and development, being able to use their own initiative to ensure that the children’s individual needs are met. They must offer the best care and stimulation to ensure that each child reaches their full potential and they must regularly contribute to their key child’s online learning journey. The candidate should also be flexible in their working and be a good team player. They must have good communication and writing skills.
Applicants must hold a level 3 qualification in childcare, have GCSE (grade C or above) in Maths and English and also have a current Paediatric First Aid certificate. They must also have good experience of working with ages 0-4.

This is an exciting time to be at a new college. South Downs College is merging with Havant Sixth Form College in August 2017 to become Havant and South Downs College or HSDC.
We are looking for a chief storyteller to help spread the word on the success of Havant and South Downs College. The Head of Marketing and Communications holds significant responsibility for HSDC’s continued growth and financial viability through college-wide marketing and communication strategies. This role will suit a dynamic and ambitious manager who thrives on challenge, is a skilled communicator, a creative thinker and innovative practitioner.
This role is critical in terms of ensuring the future success of the college. The Head of Marketing and Communications leads on marketing to a range of groups from pre-16 pupils, to school leavers, degree students, mature adults and employers. The post-holder will have overall responsibility for the college’s media and marketing activities and oversee the development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing and communications strategy. The role will also carry overall responsibility for managing all internal and external communications for the college including with local, regional, national and international media.
The position provides leadership, strategic planning and senior management direction to the Marketing and Communications team, as well as advice to other parts of the college. The role is a senior administrator who participates in the overall leadership and management of Havant and South Downs College and reports to the Vice-Principal, Business Services and People at the college.
Able to communicate skilfully at all levels, including informing and engaging with stakeholders, you will generate a high level of commitment from others and be confident in challenging existing practice to deliver results. You will have strong knowledge of current trends in marketing and have a key focus on digital communications.
Preferably CIM/IDM qualified, and educated to at least degree level in Marketing (or a related subject), you will most likely have a proven track record of success in a significant marketing and communications role. Experience of managing a customer service and outreach teams would be highly beneficial.
