Geography Lecturer including Course Management

We are looking for an inspirational teacher to join the vibrant team at South Downs College. As a qualified Lecturer in Geography, you will work as a member of a team, ensuring that learners receive a high quality learning experience and achieve success. Applicants should possess an appropriate degree and have experience in teaching Geography to A level students. You should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. This is a great opportunity to pass on your skills and experience to others in a rewarding role.

The successful candidate will have a passion for Geography, excellence in teaching and learning and be a reflective practitioner who takes part in CPD. It is preferred that you are experienced in tutoring, assessing, recording and tracking students to ensure that they make sufficient progress. Animal Care Instructor/Technician

Closing date: 18/07/2017 Salary: £5,900.43 - £6,797.18 Actual Salary Contract type: Part time (14 hours per week)

A vacancy has arisen for a reliable and caring Animal Care Technician/Instructor at South Downs College to work as part of the Animal Care team within the College’s Animal Unit.  To undertake routine animal husbandry tasks with a range of animals and to work flexibly as part of the technician team within Science and Maths.  The post holders will hold a Level 3 Qualification or equivalent in Animal Care/Management, experience working with a range of animals including exotics, companion and domestic species in commercial environment and have good communication skills.  There may be an opportunity to work extra hours to cover staff holidays.

This position is 14 hours per week, hours are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 9am – 1pm & Sunday 9am – 11am

Job description

Senior Technician/Instructor – Mechanical Engineering

Closing date: Salary: £14,644.80 per annum (Grade 3, 0.8 fractional contract) Contract type: Part time

The College is seeking to appoint a fractional technician in our busy Engineering curriculum area. Applicants should ideally be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 in Engineering and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in the mechanical/manufacturing industry.

Desirable skills required are manual turning and milling, fabrication skills, welding, CNC. Basic Maintenance skills are required to maintain the above equipment. Applicants must demonstrate flexibility in hours and tasks undertaken and have knowledge of health, safety and quality systems.
