Traineeships are designed for young people who are work focused but need some support to obtain an Apprenticeship, Work, enter the armed forces or progress on to further education opportunities. Once approved for the Traineeship programme we match you with an employer who will provide you with regular and planned work experience that meets your needs. The rest of your programme is designed around you to help you overcome the barriers you have to succeeding. Your programme is completely individual, based on your Initial Assessment and personal aspirations so your programme will be built around you and based on supporting you progress on to an Apprenticeships, a job or another education course.
To start a Traineeship you do not necessarily need any particular grades but we do need to make sure the programme is right for you so we will invite you in for an informal chat and an Initial Assessment covering your Maths and English.
