Traineeships are an exciting opportunity for young people aged 16 to 23. Traineeships are designed for young people who are work focused but need some support to obtain an apprenticeship, work, enter the armed forces or progress on to further education. That might mean that you need some support in finding the right apprenticeship for you, working on your confidence at interview, your CV, or even develop your maths, English or ICT skills to increase your employability.
Once approved for the Traineeship programme we match you with an employer who will provide you with regular and planned work experience that meets your needs. The rest of your programme is designed to help you overcome the barriers you have to succeeding.
Your programme is completely individual, based on your initial assessment and personal aspirations. Therefore, your programme will be built around you. Based on helping you progress onto an apprenticeship, a job or another education course.
To start a Traineeship you do not necessarily need any particular grade, but we do need to make sure the programme is right for you so we will invite you for an informal chat and an initial assessment covering your maths and english.
