From 12th August 2011, if you are unemployed and in receipt of a State Benefit,
you will be eligible for free tuition for Government sponsored courses that will
give you skills training to enter employment. Our careers advisers can help you

Do you need an English or Maths GCSE?
If you are aged 19-24 and don’t have a GCSE English or a GCSE Maths at Grades A to C then free tuition
for these subjects is now available at South Downs College.

Adult Skills for Life
Part-time English, Maths and ESOL* courses (note: ESOL tuition/assessment fees may
apply):
Do you want to improve your Maths or English skills to help with your work, your
children or everyday life? We can help you improve your skills, confidence and personal
qualifications.
Our classes are small, friendly and flexible. Our staff are supportive and specialize
in teaching a wide range of abilities and are sensitive to individual needs.
Classes are held at different times of the day in the Community as well as at the
College main site (where evening classes are also available).
