    Kitchen Domestic Assistant (Maternity Cover)

    Location: South Downs College Contract: Part time Apply by: Noon on 26/09/2014 Salary: £10,536.75 A Kitchen Domestic Assistant (Maternity Cover) is required at South Downs College (37 hours per week, 30 weeks per year) Actual Salary: £10,536.75 (£7.28 per hour) Experience working within a team in a busy industrial kitchen is essential. Duties include cleaning light and heavy catering equipment and associated kitchen areas. High standards of hygiene and safety awareness are essential and a food hygiene certificate is desirable but not essential as training will be given. Closing date: Friday 26 September 2014 at noon. Interviews: week commencing 6 October 2014.

    Health & Safety Adviser

    Location: South Downs College Contract: Full time Apply by: Noon on 19/09/2014 Salary: £26,001 Health & Safety Adviser South Downs College is looking to appoint a Health & Safety Adviser to work within the Estates Services Team, reporting to the Facilities Manager. This role will support, advise and give guidance on H&S issues on a range of projects.You will ensure compliance to systems and procedures by carrying out inspections and assessments and promoting a positive health and safety culture. Additionally the role will assist in development of internal policy and participate in the training and development of Managers and Staff. Ideally applicants should have: • A NEBOSH certificate or equivalent professional qualification • Thorough up to date knowledge of H&S legislation • Excellent organisational & planning skills with particular attention to details • Good IT skills , Microsoft Word,Excel and Powerpoint • Strong communication and team working skills • Ability to work under pressure Selected candidates to be interviewed on Friday 26 September
