Engineering has the latest Mechanical, Electronic and Motor Vehicle facilities that enable the highest level of learning by all of our students.

The department has four workshop areas with Engineering, Electronic and Motor Vehicle equipment, wash facilities, lockers for full-time students and fully equipped classrooms. These facilities are utilised throughout the week for all our students.

Each classroom is equipped with the latest software which includes AutoCad, Inventor 3D, AlphaCam, Multi-Sim and Ulti-Board.

These software systems allow students, for example, to design a component in 2 Dimensional and 3 Dimensional views and then machine the component on an automated CNC machine.

The workshop facilities for Engineering include equipment such as: pillar drills, lathes, milling machines, CNC, router, welding, gas forge, guillotine and sheet metals rollers. All this equipment allows students to improve their practical skills using real engineering equipment.

The workshop facilities for Motor Vehicle include: 6 vehicle lifts, tyre changer, wheel balancing, laser wheel alignments, running stand engines, brake tester and brake cleaner. Again, these facilities are utilised throughout the week.

The workshop facilities for Electronics include: oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies, function generators and PCB machines.

In addition to the above, the Department holds many off-site activities which include visits to trade shows, employers and work placements for the students.

The Department is continually updating its equipment and facilities and continues to deliver the learning and training to enable students to gain the skills and knowledge to enter a career in Engineering.
